The atmosphere in the room is electric.

The anticipation is unbearable.

It's the biggest day of the humble hanger's life…

So get it right brides!

Don't pair your expensive, exquisite, all you've thought about for a year wedding dress with a plastic or wire hanger.

Think of the dress shot…

And for those of you, like me, who are advocates of the BIY approach…Buy it Yourself {impressive acronym huh? I thought of it all by myself!} here's a few pretty hangers which you can buy with the click of your mouse!

Forget all the faffing about with pliers and why not get these darling, personalised hangers from Aressa via Etsy

So many pretty hangers, yet only one dress…why not get them as gifts for Maids and Mums?!

Paloma's Nest via Etsy {these customisable hangers are FAB for any day of the week let alone you're wedding day!}

A pretty, personalised hanger would be a lovely keepsake and you could hang your current favourite ‘dress of the week/month/season' on it just for the sheer whimsy of it!

Or, if none of the above take your fancy, a plain white or wooden hanger looks simple and chic. Just look at this gorgeous dress shot by the lovely Natalie of Natalie Spencer Photography:

It makes sense to consider your hanger before the big day but, realistically, it's just for one or two little photos so don't worry too much! Besides, dresses always look nicer on brides than on hangers don't they?!

Whatever you do, I suggest making sure your hanger is sturdy {padded if possible} because wedding dresses can be deceptively heavy!

Are you buying/making a hanger for your wedding day? Or did you? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
