Hello there,

Are you on a chocolate come down? Not quite ready to get back to business? Well you've come to the right place!

Let me take your mind off it all with a gorgeous real wedding and lots of other loveliness on Bridal Musings today…

I've got a truly chic and glamourous wedding to share with you, captured beautifully by the very talented Matt Parry of Matt Parry Photography. I just love Matt's style of photography as it's so vibrant, full of life and love!

The happy couple are Emily and Ned…here's their wedding story:

The Proposal: On a 12 mile walk in the Yorkshire Dales, we reached the top of a fell, exhausted and sweaty and he went down on one knee.

Location & Date of Wedding: Ceremony at Farm Street Church and reception at the Savile Club {both in Mayfair} On the 11th Sept 2010.

Theme/Colour Scheme: Traditional. Grey/Lilac

Hair & Make Up: What bridal look did you go for? Old style glamour. Hair was styled by Jay Rapata at Michael John. He did finger curls and a side chignon. Had make up done at the Shu Uemura counter.

{What a beauty…I love Emily's glamourous finger curls.}

The Grooms Attire: Tails! No hat.

Bridesmaids/Groomsmens Attire: Bridesmaid wore a grey dress from Whistles, purple heels from Jones Bootmaker. Groomsmen in tails.

{How cute are those embroidered dressing gowns!}

The Dress: My dress was by Sharon Hoey, found at the Designer Bridal Sale after many boutique visits! I was determined to have a dress with straps and it was perfect as you could have covered shoulders during the ceremony, then tie them up into a halter neck for a more glamourous look in the evening.

The Shoes & Accessories: Bargain comfy mid-heels from BHS! Veil for the ceremony, pearl brooch in hair from Glitzy Secrets. Blingy earrings for the evening from Butler & Wilson.

This wedding is just. so. classy.

And there's much more to come tomorrow in Part 2! With beautiful couples shots taken around the streets of London and their fabulous lilac and grey reception with lots of chic little details.

Thanks so much to Emily and Ned for sharing their gorgeous wedding with us and huge thanks to Matt Parry for kindly sharing his fantastic photography! To see more of Matt's work check out his website and, for his most recent shoots, take a look at his blog.

So…is anyone else loving that demure, transformable dress? It's so unique, I simply love the back!
