A Modern Wedding Dress With Delicate Sheer Sleeves : Addie
I fell in love with this dress from Monique Lhuillier’s Spring 2011 collection months ago, months I tell you.
For some reason or another it got pushed to the bottom of my blogging pile {sorry Addie} but it was always in my thoughts…never more so than on the day of the Royal Wedding.
I LOVE a wedding dress with sleeves {no more bingo wings} and absolutely adored Catherine’s lace sleeves and bodice!
But for those modern brides out there who want to steer clear of lace/vintage yet still cover their shoulders and arms in a demure fashion there is always the breathtakingly beautiful Addie by Monique Lhuillier:

The tulle ruching, the V neck/backline, the wispy bow and mermaid shape of the dress are all divine.
It’s a delicate, demure dream of a dress!
So, how many of you are predicting the revival of wedding dresses with sleeves post Royal Wedding? Are you a fan of Addie too?

I adore this dress!!! Although the bottom half would not suit me (would show too much curves, if you know what I mean), I LOVE the design of the top half…very flattering.
Love the lace sleeves. When I was shopping for a wedding dress, I couldn’t find anything with lace sleeves that looked contemporary and fun. I do think that sleeves will be back because of the Royal Wedding.
Roz, I think this dress would enhance your curves. But I do understand, the figure hugging mermaid shape is not for everyone!
Elise, what a shame you couldn’t find a suitable dress with lace sleeves. Now that wedding dress shops {& no doubt the high street} will be full of them, how about a vow renewal?! ;)
