Yes, you read right.
Today I'm featuring a ‘Hello Kitty' Bridal Shower.
Excuse me while I go all girly and squeal…but this is just TOO CUTE!
What better way to spend an afternoon with your closest girls than in a sea of cute, pinkness, candy and cupcakes?
The event took place at Cafe Hidalgo, in California and the event designers, 161 Studio paid such amazing attention to detail, including:
♥ A Hello Kitty Invitation Suite complete with modern font and pink ribbon and hot pink envelopes.
♥ Pink paper pom poms suspended across the garden.
♥ Clear jars wrapped with pink paper and string filled with blush pink roses, white china mums, and pink wax flowers.
♥ ‘Bridal Shower' Banner set against a backround of strips of crepe paper/ribbons in various shades of pink and polka dots.
♥ Desert bar full of scrumptious cakes and cupcakes. {Some were baked by the bridesmaids and some were purchased from a bakery called Porto's bakery.} There were also chips, salsa and a fruit platter provided by Cafe Hidalgo.
♥ Cute Hello Kitty circular toppers on the cakes and in the flower jars.
♥ A memory area with framed photos of the happy coouple & silver ‘LOVE' letters.
♥ Photo booth props for fun and frolics with the Bridal Shower backdrop behind.

In the UK we're not so hot on bridal showers but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they're common place. Why not have another excuse to celebrate?!
The decor and details of this event could be DIYed and adapted for use in any party or on your weddding day. I especially love the striped crepe paper effect as a backdrop for a DIY photobooth.
