Pretty Bridal Hair Tutorial: Half Up Half Down

  • It’s that time of the week again…time for a little beauty school!

    This time I’m sharing a tutorial for a soft, romantic bridal hair look ~ the demi chignon otherwise known as ‘half up half down’:

    {Image via idoityourself tutorial via Martha Stewart Weddings}

    ~ Create soft loose curls using a curling iron, focusing on the lower sections.

    ~ Then get busy with a bit of backcombing and hair spray to create height at the crown and pin the top section into place.

    ~ Add a sparkly vintage clip or a flower to the back, et voila! Perfectly pretty bridal hair.

    ~ To complete this look, channel your inner Bridgette Bardot with blush pink lips, cheeks and 60s eyeliner flicks!

    Top tip: Curling wands without clamps are a good option for those who are not very good with curling irons {like me} because they stop you getting those horrid kinks!
