Traditionally rice is thrown on the newly married bride and groom to wish them good luck in their marriage.
Rice is symbolic of new crops and represents wishes of fertility and prosperity. Which all very lovely but let's face it rice hurts!
That's the reason behind new Rice Butterflies which are all natural, biodegradable and made completely out of rice but are similar to delicate, floating confetti. They look like petals but will float for much longer, making for gorgeous photographs!
Isn't that fab?!
They come in a range of bright colours. They have yet to create pastel colours other than ‘natural', as featured above but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they do.
