Back in February I posted a trailer for a new wedding film, Bridesmaids, and asked is this The Hangover for girls? Well, I was lucky enough to attend the Bridesmaids preview screening at London's swanky Soho Hotel organised by the lovely Charley of London Bride and Universal Pictures and I can confirm that yes ~ yes it is!
A super girly and fun night was had by all who attended and the film was a BIG hit ~ I could hear a myriad of wedding industry folk giggling, guffawing and shrieking around me. And when we dragged ourselves away from the luxurious, cow patterned seats of the screening room, nearly everyone I spoke to said they really enjoyed the film.

It was such a funny and sweet film with plenty of gross humour. I was laughing/cringing my way through it {as I did watching The Hangover movies} but there is no mistaking this is a romantic comedy at heart ~ with refreshingly rich and complex characters. You can't help but identify with Annie, Kristen Wigg ~ who co-wrote the movie. She embodies the insecure, jealous, eager to please, thoughtful, neurotic, loving and a little bit nutty side of each of us at times!
My verdict: Go and see it with your bridesmaids and have a giggle ~ just let them know in advance that you don't expect a lavish Paris themed bachelorette complete with chocolate fountain & giant heart cookie…unless of course you do! {In which case, you might want to consider this post from last week.}
I loved it so much that I intend to watch it again with Zee because it's not just for girls ~ boys will find it hilarious too!
