Beauty School: Bridal Hair Tutorial – Two In One
Good morning,
I hope you’re all having a super lovely weekend!
I’ve been a bit of a Beauty School drop out these past couple of weeks BUT it’s back with a bang in the form of a 2 in 1 bridal hair tutorial. Hurrah!
I came across this braided do’ tutorial by Keiko Lynn, which is actually an up ‘do and thought it’d be perfect for a bride looking for a subtle nod towards boho.
But I also thought one of the steps along the process would make a pretty bridal do, similar to a hair tutorial I’ve shared before ~ half up/half down, with height at the crown and a side swept fringe {or bangs for those of you in the US}.
Just take a peek:
Slightly Bardot and a whole lot of beautiful, don’t you think?
If you don’t have a fringe, I’d suggest creating a wide side parting and sweeping the front section across and clipped just behind your ears. Half up, half down without any softness at the front could look quite severe.
Or follow all of the steps from Keiko’s tutorial…
to arrive at this gorgeous, relaxed up do:
I love how the loose braids give a classic up do a bit more interest and texture. I also love the fact that it looks a little undone. I really dislike perfectly hairsprayed helmut hair updos as they look so dated ~ whereas this is fresh and pretty.

Oh Keiko, you are seriously making me want to cut in a fringe again…
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday lovelies, tomorrow is mine and Zee’s one year wedding anniversary and I’ll be celebrating on the blog with a few photos from our wedding day {it’s about time I put them up isn’t it?!}
