Our 1st Wedding Anniversary ~ A Year Of ‘Firsts’
August 1st 2010 was one of the happiest days of my life…
One year on, there have been many more happy days!
We’ve experienced lots of firsts…
~ Our first act as a married couple ~ cutting the cake!
~ The first time we called each other husband and wife {on our wedding day}
~ Our first night as husband and wife {it wasn’t that exciting ~ we were both knackered!}
~ Our first Christmas as a married couple {and my first Christmas as an official aunty ~ which was so much fun!}
~ We dealt with our first nosey relative’s ‘So when are the babies coming?’ question and devised a standard answer we now say to everyone else who asks: ‘Not for a few years yet, we want to enjoy being a married couple for a while first.’ {Feel free to use it if you’re recently married, it works like a charm!}
~ Our first holiday as a married couple…our amazing honeymoon in exotic Thailand!
The first year of marriage has not been all fun and games though, we’ve also been through some tough times and had our fair share of marital rows. I’ve had to make some really difficult career choices and changes which have meant that we’ve both been working ridiculously hard over the past 6 months. And we’re planning a big move to Dubai soon too!
On top of all that, I had the crazy idea of writing a wedding blog! {Which, as it turns out, wasn’t so crazy after all ~ I love writing this blog!}
But we’ve supported each other through it all and we make a great team.
I didn’t think it was possible to love Zee more than I did on our wedding day but I love him more and more each day. He is a truly wonderful husband and I feel blessed to share my life with him.
