Unique Ways To Incorporate Feathers Into Your Wedding
Good morning,
I’ve become quite obsessed with feathers of late, there’s something about their light and floaty nature that makes them the perfect addition to weddings. But I’m not just talking about feathered fascinators! From dresses to jewelry, boutonnieres to bouquets ~ there are so many chic and unique ways to incorporate feathers into your wedding day.
The inspiration behind these boards came from the real brides who thought outside of the box {or the nest} when it came to their bouquets…
Gilded White Swan

Why have a bouquet when you can have a feathered fan?
I adore this idea ~ it evokes a bygone, glamourous era and makes me think of burlesque dancers peeping out from behind ostrich feather fans. I think you’ll agree that dove white is always so stunning teamed with gold ~ I can’t get enough of delicate gold, feather jewelry. That ring is at the top of my wish list! Finally I couldn’t create a pure white, fabulously feathered inspiration board without including Matthew Williamson’s asymmetric tulle gown embellished with feathers.
Black Swan / Guinea Fowl / The Dark Side
Feather topped bottles via Style Me Pretty | feather centerpiece via Briton Loves It | feather shoes by Bhldn | feather bouquet via Green Wedding Shoes | feather save the date by Cevd
This bride’s bouquet is an incredible creation consisting of guinea fowl feathers, twigs and silver wear. Look carefully and you’ll see the vintage cutlery adorning her bouquet! While her groom went for a cool and quirky feather boutonniere ~ a less girly option than flower boutonnieres.
But feathers don’t have to be used in such outlandish ways, they could simply be the perfect finishing touch to a pair of shoes or a charming detail. Such as this creative yet simple way to display programs for your guests in bottles with a small feather attached. Special mention also has to go to the designers at Cevd for creating a save a date feather, how amazing is that?!
The feather inspiration doesn’t stop here…I’ll be back tomorrow with even more chic and unique feathery goodness, including some fantastic DIY projects.
Are you a fan of feathers?

Oooh! I love the white feathers on the shoes! That gives me an idea for “clip-on” shoe feathers that you can easily clip on/off whatever shoes you choose.
