A Boho Chic + Vintage Chic Engagement Shoot

Sigh. It’s shoots like this that make me wish Zee and I had an engagement shoot!

Dominique and John met at a concert where John was playing in his band. He lives in California, and she lives in Maryland. But despite the distance, their love blossomed. This gorgeous shoot took place in Maryland and I think you’ll agree they are both just so darn stylish. I especially love how John played his guitar throughout the session too…

(If we were to have an e-shoot, the only instrument Zee can play ~ well, used to play at school ~ is the clarinet…hmmm it’s not quite as cool or romantic is it?!)

Dominique and John wanted to do a photoshoot with two themes, a vintage and a bohemian theme. For the bohemian part, she used an old vintage suitcase, and he brought his guitar. We went to a corn field and did the session there.They posed the vintage part with a blue velvet vintage couch in front of an abandoned house. The hairpiece she got is an authentic vintage piece purchased  from a thrift store long ago.
