• Colourful, Vintage Chic, DIY Fall Wedding With A Pumpkin Patch

    Good morning lovelies,

Prepare to be inspired ~ this gorgeous Fall wedding is the epitome of chic and unique!

I mean, how many weddings have you seen with a pumpkin patch?

April and Jason’s wedding was a DIY, vintage dream of a wedding full of colour, love, laughter and eclectically beautiful style. All captured to perfection by Natalie Franke Photography. (Scroll down to read Natalie’s wonderful write up of the wedding, with all the DIY details and personal touches.)

I love everything about their wedding but it is April’s chic bridal style that I covet the most ~ she accessorized her 60s inspired wedding dress with a glittery gold cardigan, pearls and leopard print heels!

    I die…

Here’s Natalie with all the details from the day:

April & Jason were married in an absolutely beautiful vintage wedding at the Billingsley House Museum – a historic plantation manor overlooking the Patuxent River in Maryland! These love birds have been together for years & this wedding not only brought the two of them together as a married couple – but also together as a family! They have an adorable son named Eli who was a big part of their wedding day!

April is a photographer and crafty bride who took incredible care in selecting the details for her wedding day! April and her mom put together a fabulous brooch bouquet, made bridesmaids bouquets by hand, and even found the cake topper in her grandmother’s house – a true vintage gem! The bridesmaids dresses were mix-matched creme gowns with a touch of lace and April even selected her gown as a remake of Jason’s grandmother’s dress! There was even a pumpkin patch that served as wedding favors! This wedding was truly a vintage collaboration and DIY-tastic event! It was classy, elegant, and an absolute dream!

Congratulations April and Jason (and Eli!) wishing you all the best for a happy and love filled  future together.

Many thanks to Natalie Franke (who is as lovely as she is talented) for sharing these beautiful photos with us. Check out her blog and Facebook page to see more of her stunning photography.

I’d love to hear your thoughts, what aspect of April and Jason’s unique wedding did you find most inspiring?

How did the brick dance floor work out? I have a paved brick area at my site that would be great for dancing, but I worry about people cutting their feet as the shoes will eventually come off.
