• Giveaway: Afternoon Tea For Two At A Luxury London Hotel

Hello and welcome to the weekend!

How do you fancy afternoon tea for two at a swanky central London hotel?

I’m so pleased to be able to offer Bridal Musings readers an exclusive giveaway in association with The Charing Cross Hotel.

The Charing Cross Hotel is a truly luxurious hotel right in the heart of London. I had the pleasure of visiting the hotel for a blogger’s event recently and I think it would make a fabulous city wedding venue with it’s period features, boutique touches, sweeping staircases, beautiful ballroom and top class catering team.

It’s also the perfect place for an indulgent spot of girly afternoon tea.

Classic Afternoon Tea For Two includes:

    ~ Selection of sandwiches

~ Assortment of afternoon tea pastries and cakes

~ Freshly baked scones with fruit preserves and clotted Devonshire cream

~ Freshly brewed leaf tea or herbal infusions

All in the comfort of The Lounge overlooking The Strand and Trafalgar Square:

So who would you treat to a delicious afternoon tea at The Charing Cross Hotel?

Why not take your mum or your maid of honour during a wedding related, girly day out shopping in London?

Or how about spending some quality time with your partner, forgetting the stresses of wedding planning over tea and scrumptious scones?

Are you already married or simply a fan of Bridal Musings? You’re more than welcome to enter the competition too!

    Competition Details:

Afternoon tea is for two people.

    Travel expenses not included.

Enter by midnight GMT on Saturday 17th December 2011.

Winner chosen at random and announced on the Bridal Musings Facebook page on Sunday 18th December 2011.

The winner can claim their afternoon tea for two between now and April 2012 (subject to availability).

All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is:

I”d like an afternoon tea with my gorgeous man, Leon.  Our son is now 2 years old and we very rarely get to do things just on our own.  It would be like a date! x

Ooh great competition – I already like (read LOVE) your Facebook page and the person I’d take is my lovely mum. She works really really hard without a break and I think it would be nice to treat her. Money is tight in the run up to the wedding and she’s doing pretty much all the catering in advance plus making us a lovely cake so she’s going to be even busier than she is now! I think this would be a very nice way of showing I appreciate her and saying a big thank you xxxxx

I’m a new fan of your blog after coming across it very recently as I’m one of the models in the lace shoot you featured yesterday. I got married in 2009 and I wish your blog had existed then!

I would take my sister, Hester, as she is a student currently so lacking the finer things! She just got back from an intership in Paris and I think she could use some TLC whilst she’s settling back in to English life.

  • Claire Penn Photography

I would take my long suffering husband who cooks for me every day, cleans the house and generally supports me while I’m buiding the photography business… it would be nice to give him an uber special treat where someone else is cooking!  xx

I would like to share afternoon tea with my fiance, David. I’ve been really stressed out lately with lots of deadlines and he has been calmly and quietly helping me out – from cooking and washing up to going out in the sleet yesterday to queue in the post office so I didn’t have to. We don’t have a lot of money to spare between wedding planning and just moving house and I would love to be able to thank him for being such a sweetie – because when I said I felt bad as he did so much for me and what had I done for him lately, he shrugged and replied: “You said yes!”

p.s. I have liked the page but under my real name, which is Anne Wollenberg.

mmm I’ll probably take one of my housemates so we can spend some relaxing time outside of the house (where we’d have to prepare/cook) that’s not at a party/club/pub. I love afternoon tea!

  • Shailukies

First of all I need to say that I follow your blog daily! I had no clue about how to organise a wedding, and your blog gives me plenty of inspiration and great ideas.
I would love to have afternoon tea with my lovely friend Sam, who will also be the photographer at my wedding and is also helping me with the design of the invitations! She always listens patiently to my ideas and is super creative and sweet and I’d love to take her to a lovely, relaxing, girlie session of afternoon tea :-)

I’d take my Mum, she’s 60 on the 30th and I was going to take her for afternoon tea in London to celebrate but I’ve found out my job ends on the 24th and can’t afford to :( so this would be amazing x

  • Fiona kelly photography

I would love the chance to take one of my good friends. I missed her birthday a month ago because I had a wedding to shoot and we are both so busy we rarely get the chance to catch up. It would be a real treat to be able to take her for an afternoon tea surprise. X

  • Charlotte Starr

I would take my husband.  We haven’t been able to spend a whole lot of time together recently since he works shifts at a factory and I work a 9-5 in an office, some weeks we barely see each other. He really enjoys London, as only an American can, so he’d really like that :)

I would love to take my Mum for afternoon tea! I got married earlier this year and also received some difficult news and my Mum was my rock throughout and she still continues to be. It would be lovely to treat her to help show my appreciation! X x

Mum’s are great aren’t they? I hope that 2012 is a happier, less difficult year for you. Wishing you all the best x

  • Lucygphotography

I would take my lovely boyfriend of 5 years who has been looking after me this week while I have been ill. He has also been super supportive after I left my job to pursue a full time career as a photographer. :)

  • Sarah Bdesign

I would take my fiancée (first time ive said that) to celebrate our very recent engagement with a glass of champagne :) the surroundings look amazing! X

Congratulations!! I bet you’ll be saying ‘my fiancee’ all the time now, even to complete strangers :)

  • Jenny Lane

I would like to take my bridesmaid. She has just broke up with her boyfriend of 5 years but has remained the most amazing bridesmaid, allowing me to twitter on about the wedding and continue to be so excited and helpful through all the mad planning. So I would like to really treat her and say thank you and I love her and will be there for her through this hard time.

  • Kerry

I would take my lovely husband of 11 years Dan, for lots of reasons but mainly because I love him even more than I love tea and cake!

  • Love Vintage Tea

I would love to take my husband as we have recently become parents & he has been the most amazing husband & daddy. It makes me smile on how natural my husband is with our little girl & he supports me & helps around the house & always knows how to make me smile even when I am tired!! :) I would love to win this to show my appreciation for his support!! Thanks xx

Such a lovely thing to say, he sounds like he’s got the role of husband and daddy down to a tea! :) Hope you get to treat him and your little girl this holiday season.
