Wedding Dress Of The Week: Emmeline by Vera Wang
I’m super excited about this new weekly feature ~ it’s all about The Dress!
And yes The Dress does require capitals because The Dress is quite possibly my favourite part of all things wedding – related. (Aside from The Love, of course. That’s rather special too.)
Every day I come across wedding dresses that are so dreamy they make me weak at the knees. Dresses that are so breathtaking they make me feel like I’ve just been for a 5k run. And dresses to end all dresses that make me wildly, insanely jealous.
I torture myself with questions such as:
Why oh why didn’t I pick a dress with an intricate lace back? Or a short 50s full skirted number? Or a floaty tulle gown? Or…
The list goes on.
However, if I’m completely honest with myself, I know that my dress was perfect for me on my wedding day. But a girl can dream can’t she?

Her name is Emmeline:
Why I Adore Emmeline… It’s soft, dreamy, feminine and floaty with a illusion (sheer) corset bodice. While the jet black sash gives it a classic, sophisticated edge.
Perfect for… Brides who love the idea of being a princess for the day in a dramatic ballgown but who don’t wan’t to look too Disney!
Team it with… Black sky high heels and a sparkly wrist cuff.
Check out this beautiful bride who teamed her Emmeline dress with patent black Louboutins, a ballerina bun and black headband combo along with a glorious bouquet of roses and dahlias for her chic, New York rooftop wedding. City chic princess perfection.

Im a big fan of Vera Wang and love this dress! I love the bride that wore it in the NY wedding too. So gorgeous, chic and lovely! Great post!
Spotted it on SMP earlier too…I’m in love and having serious post wedding dress envy, dresses like this make me want to be able to do it all over again!

Loving this beautiful Vera Wang creation. I will be wearing Johanna Hehir on my wedding day. I adore my custom made Holly gown in blush pink tafetta with a double layer of ivory chiffon overlaid. I cannot recommend Johanna Hehir more. The girls in the shop are so kind, helpful and knowledgeable and have helped me to make the dress of my dreams a reality. Johanna’s collection is modern with vintage flair and her beautiful London shop is a must see.
