Hello all you lovely readers,

Have I told you lately how much I appreciate you? Because I really do.

Your comments, emails, tweets, Facebook love and just the fact that so many of you show up to see the latest wedding features (and perhaps even read my random musings) makes me pinch myself. Daily. So thank you.

Now, as you may remember I mentioned last week that I'm off on a ski trip…

(That's Marilyn Monroe on a ski lift don't you know.)

I'm sorry to leave you for a week but when you get the opportunity to go skiing (for the first time as an adult) with three of your closest friends (who you're going to miss dearly when you move to San Francisco in oooh just under 2 weeks) well, you simply have to say ‘count me in' don't you?!

But it's not goodbye or even ‘au revoir' (I am going to France, after all) but a chance for you to check out part of the blog that I'm really proud of, the Film Gallery. The first of it's kind in wedding blog land. Fact.

The Wedding Film Gallery

On the Film Gallery* I hand pick the most creative and beautiful wedding films out there to inspire you guys. So you can see all those beautiful moments that make up a wedding in motion (and of course you can ‘steal' ideas and colour schemes too!) I also hope to prove to any of you out there who are under the impression that wedding videography is ‘cheesy' or ‘boring' that with the right videographers it's anything but.

Having a wedding film was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding (thanks to our incredibly talented videographer, Rupert Ward Lewis). It's why, as soon as I started this little blog, I knew that I had to feature inspiring wedding films and lots of them! And so the Film Gallery was born. I share a variety of wedding films from super 8mm to modern styles, unique to classic and everything in between but all of them truly beautiful (and without the slightest whiff of Stilton).

I understand that it may not be a priority for you and your budget ~ quality videography, like photography, doesn't come cheap. But in this modern day and age, when there is technology available to capture and preserve those precious, once in a lifetime moments from your wedding, why not at least consider hiring a videographer? After all, that old adage that your wedding day passes ‘so quickly/in a blur' is all too true.

However, if you do decide to have a wedding film, I'm certainly not suggesting you ask your videographer to record every last second of your ceremony or your Dad's epic speech from start to finish a short film, highlighting some of the loveliest moments of your day is priceless.

What I actually meant to tell you is that I won't be posting on the main blog this coming week but I will be sharing an utterly gorgeous wedding film over on the Film Gallery every day this week. So keep your eyes peeled and have popcorn at the ready!
