Hello lovelies,

Let's play a word association game. What comes to mind when I say ‘boudoir photography'?

Synthetic materials? Awkward poses? Dim lighting? ‘Sexy' glares / pouts?

Boudoir photography is all about celebrating the female form but it's not always done in the most tasteful ways…

As you know, I like to keep things chic and classy here, so I thought it was high time I shared some beautiful bridal boudoir shoots that may just inspire you to take the plunge!

So without further adieu, may I present to you the first boudoir shoot to grace the pages of Bridal Musings. A classy, vintage boudoir shoot by Katherine Henry Boudoir. All the outfits are authentic pieces from the 1950s and 1960s, the bouffant hairstyle is retro fabulous and the resulting images are chic, feminine and delicate. There is a subtle sensuality about the shoot which I love. Oh and her make up is perfect!

Chic and classy or what? It just goes to show you don't have to bare a lot of skin to be sexy!

A boudoir shoot could be the perfect wedding gift* for your partner ~ a visual treat to make them count their lucky stars that they fell in love with someone so beautiful inside and out. You could surprise them by printing a ‘little black book' album or disc of images for them to open the night before or on the morning of the wedding.

And, speaking from my own experience, a boudoir shoot (with the right photographer) can be very empowering and lots of fun!

*Or anniversary or Valentine's day gift!
