Hey lovelies,

I'm sorry for making you wait so long for the second installment of pretty from Kayla and Patrick's blush pink wedding.

But good things come to those who wait…and boy are you in for a treat.

With the help of friends and family, Kayla and Patrick transformed their simple, rustic, outdoor reception space into a whimsical wonderland of vintage furniture, lace doilies, burlap and peonies.

They incorporated so many gorgeous, vintage inspired, DIY details into their special day it's hard to know where to look first!

From the beautiful bride, Kayla ~ We had a modest budget to work with {$15,000} and so we were forced to get creative! Almost every part of the wedding was DIY from the save the dates to the “Mr. & Mrs.” Sign.

We bought all the burlap and lace from a fabric store and made them into table cloths, all the candles were once Virgin Mary candles from the dollar store that I covered with old book pages and adorned with ribbon and paper pinwheels. All the centerpieces were collected from family members houses and thrift stores. There was so much help and love poured into our wedding, even the favors were my moms famous chocolate chip cookies! Almost every single element of the wedding was handmade with love.

Photography ~ The photography was our biggest splurge because we knew after the wedding had past that was all we would have to remember our special day! We used Erica, from Acres Of Hope Photography and she and her husband did an AMAZING job capturing our love and the THOUSANDS of details that day!

They did a great job at making everyone feel at ease and capturing the emotions expressed. I could not be happier with our wedding photos, they give me chills still almost one year later!

Kayla's Advice ~ To couples planning their wedding now, my advice would be to enjoy the process and enjoy your wedding day! It is so easy to get swept up into the stresses and petty details of planning a wedding but try and remember what the day is truly about – your love for one another. It will be ok if you don’t have the chivari chairs and the banana cream frosting… your guests will not remember those things but they will remember the love and happiness you two share on your special day!

Many thanks to Kayla and Patrick for sharing their special day with us and to Erica of Acres Of Hope Photography whose beautiful, dreamy images have provided so much inspiration. It's been a pleasure featuring her work.

So hands up who else is loving those lace table runners over burlap? Such a gorgeous combination!

Pssssst… Did you see this cinematic wedding film trailer by Victoria Grech over on the Film Gallery yesterday? It's an absolute stunner!
