Chic Navy Stripes & Blush Pink Nautical Elopement Inspiration
Happy Friday and ship ahoy!
This gorgeous nautical inspiration shoot has my heart all flutter.
Having spent my childhood summers with family on my uncle’s rickety old boat, I adore boats and being by the water. Every holiday since, I’ve dragged my friends and Zee to the nearest harbour. And Zee even proposed on a little boat for two.
(He earnt himself a lifetime’s worth of brownie points for that!)
So it’s fair to say I’m a big fan of nautical weddings and the thought of an intimate elopement by the water, a navy, white and delicate blush pink colour scheme, fluffy florals, a naked blueberry wedding cake and oars as a guest book, well that definitely floats my boat.
Here’s Alea Lovely Photography with all the details:
How great would it be to get your closest friends and family together for a private romantic nautical elopement in a intimate location and sail off for a night on the water?
We used the traditional navy and white to capture the nautical feel but instead of red softened it up with blushes and soft pink pastels to make it a more elegant affair. With nautical details of rope, paddles, wood and stripes positioned seamlessly with elegant glassware, candles and lanterns we put together a perfect intimate affair for the creative bride to do something simple but gorgeous. We didn’t want to over do it with too many details to take away from the lovely boat that accented the end of the dock where are simple ceremony could take place.
Simply beautiful in every way.
I featured another incredible shoot by Alea Lovely Photography last week (remember this rustic, a little bit country, a little bit elegant affair?) and I’m just blown away by her dreamy photography and styling!
Are any of you planning a nautical wedding? I’d LOVE to hear about your plans.
