• Wedding Dress Of The Week: ‘The Avila Bay’ By Dolly Couture

Dolly Couture is the go to bridal boutique (in NYC and LA) and online for vintage brides in the know.

I’ve featured quite a few Dolly Couture brides here on Bridal Musings and every time, the dresses have been totally and utterly gorgeous.

Showstoppers, if you will, each with the the fluffiest petticoats and poufiest skirts you ever did see!

Including the beautiful 50s chic, Avila Bay wedding dress.

Why I adore The Avila Bay By Dolly Couture… Lace, tulle, vintage inspired, cap sleeved, full skirted, tea length…a few of my favourite things all rolled into one pretty (and affordable) package and tied with a champagne coloured sash.

Perfect for… vintage chic brides of all shapes and sizes who want a personalized dress. Dolly Couture can swap the tulle skirt for lace, change the silk sash, add longer lace sleeves, remove the sleeves altogether or even add coloured petticoats! Also, they carry up to size 18 dresses and cater to brides who may not have standard measurements.

    Way to go Dolly Couture!

Not so perfect for… brides who prefer flats ~ the mid calf length needs a heel to stop legs looking frumpy. Save the ballet pumps for the dancing!

Team it with… a short blusher veil, dainty heels and a chic red lip.

    real brides rocking the look

I love this dress best with a tulle skirt…so dreamy.

Are you a fan of vintage inspired dresses?

Perhaps you’re a plus size bride finding it difficult to find a pretty dress in a sea of small sizes?!
