• Wedding Dress Of The Week: Lauren By Lindee Daniel

This week’s Wedding Dress of The Week is by Lindee Daniel, an eco friendly wedding dress designer with sustainability and charity at the heart of her business.

Her beautiful gowns are created locally in Los Angeles, using exquisite and exclusive wild and peace silks, organic cottons, and other natural fabrics. Colors are either from the natural color of the fiber, or by a natural dyeing process.

Not only is Lindee Daniel kind to the earth but she also donates 5% of each sale towards helping disadvantaged children. Isn’t that wonderful?

My favourite Lindee Daniel dress has to be ‘Lauren’ with all her layers of lovely!

Why I adore ‘Lauren’ by Lindee Daniel… aside from the feminine sweetheart neckline and pleated bodice, which get two thumbs up from me, there’s layer upon layer of delicate, crinkles with generous swaths of fabric tied into a beautiful, big bow at the back.

Perfect for… eco chic brides who don’t want to compromise on style.*

Team it with… nude or sparkly heels and a great big smile on your face and in your heart.

After all, the dress you’re wearing looks beyond gorgeous and in your own small way, you’re helping to save the planet and support disadvantaged children. I’d call that a win win, wouldn’t you?

A Real Bride Rocking ‘Lauren’ By Lindee Daniel

These beautiful portraits by  Lane Dittoe captured my heart and imagination.

Seriously, how stunning does this bride look in her Lauren gown?!

So are you looking for an eco chic wedding gown?

If so, there’s lots more loveliness where Lauren came from, so hop on over to Lindee Daniel.

    * It makes me think of a vegetarian friend of mine at secondary school who decided that she didn’t want to wear leather shoes anymore. As a result, she would rock up everyday in this heinous faux leather pair that looked like my nan’s orthopedic shoes. Back then, vegetarian shoes weren’t readily available and the ones that were, well those shoes still haunt my nightmares.

The moral of the story is, thank goodness for eco conscious designers like Lindee Daniel who don’t just think about the type of fabrics used and all the practical stuff but also consider the beauty, style and grace of each piece. Her gowns are not just eco chic but eco couture!
