A Secret & Oh So Romantic Picnic Proposal
Happy Valentine’s Day!
I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than by featuring the ultimate romantic gesture – a proposal!
And this picnic proposal was a secret, thoughtful, beautifully styled and exquisitely documented one at that.
It doesn’t get much lovelier than this, folks…
A Secret Proposal Photo Shoot
From A Vintage Affair Events & Rentals:
I loved styling this real secret proposal. I style a lot of engagement shoots, but never a proposal. Jimmer wanted it to be romantic, but other than that he was completely open to my ideas. After some thought and with his blessing, I went with a design I knew would make any girl weak in the knees.
The setting was soft, dreamy, and a little French inspired right in the middle of the Colorado Rockies.
The details included a rustic bistro table covered with black-striped linen, romantic upholstered chairs, macaroons, mini pies, a vintage picnic basket filled with cheese and crackers, and champagne to celebrate. And of course, there were the gorgeous overflowing flowers from Bare Root Flora.
It was the perfect setting for Jimmer to propose to his girlfriend, Caitlin.
Jimmer did not want Caitlin to know there was a photographer since he planned on giving her the photos as a gift at a later date. To ensure she wouldn’t hear the clicking of the camera from the hidden photographer we put together a play list of some of her favorite romantic songs.
Being able to have Laura Murray Photography capture those moments is a gift no one could ever forget. The smile on her face is something you can’t recreate. As you can see in the photos- she said yes!
How adorable is that?!
But the story doesn’t end there, after Caitlin said yes, Jimmer didn’t reveal that Laura Murray had photographed those precious moments…then, at Christmas, he surprised her all over again with the beautiful photos. Way to go, Jimmer!
Congratulations Jimmer and Caitlin, wishing you all the best for your wedding plans.
Huge thanks to Laura Murray Photography and Jesscica of A Vintage Affair Events & Rentals for sharing this oh so romantic shoot with us.
I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s Day whatever you’re up to. xx
