In the midst of craziness called wedding planning, it was nice to take a step back and let my friends and family take over the bridal shower. The only thing I knew about the party was the location, my Aunt and Uncle’s beautiful home, which my family has always joked about how it was built to throw parties in. I loved the intimate feel of a house party and it really made all the personal details shine.
Aside from the location, I knew my bridal shower was going to be nice, but my Mom, Sister, and bridesmaids really outdid themselves! There were so many personal touches surrounding the party – the clothes line of pictures and well wishes from the guests, the fun pink candy bar, the amazing cake, gorgeous flowers, and all the girly decorations. If I were to have planned the day myself, I wouldn’t have changed a single detail – a testament to how well my friends and family know me. Not only was I surrounded by all the beautiful décor, I was surrounded by so much love, happiness, and excitement. There isn’t a better feeling in the world than having so many people you love in the same place all celebrating how happy they are for you. It was definitely a day I’ll remember forever.
