As I write this I'm a little teary eyed after watching this moving wedding film by Stan Pe Films.

Weddings can be tinged with sadness when a loved one is unable to be there. Certain traditions make their absence all the more felt. For example, when a father isn't there to walk his daughter up the aisle and toast the happy couple with a slightly embarrassing speech and when a bride can't dance with her father on her big day.

To any of you reading who are in a similar situation, my heart goes out to you.

Alicia's dad may not have been there the day she married Giovanni but his presence was clearly felt throughout the day. And her elegant and eloquent mother narrates the film through her heart warming ‘mother of the bride speech' and even shares a special letter Alicia's dad wrote to Alicia and Giovanni years before! (Kleenex might be needed at this point in the film.)

Like mother, like daughter – Alicia is a vision in her demure wedding dress with intricate lace cut out detailing and her elegant up ‘do. Giovanni is dashing in his bow tie and tux and together they make such a happy, beautiful couple.
