Today's real wedding will delight those who are fans of chic city nuptials and quirky crafty decor.

Faye and Stefan married in Berlin, with a charming day that was filled with fine food, close friends, lots of cake and a little sight-seeing.

Beautifully photographed by talented wife and husband duo, Hanni and Marcus, of Troistudios Photography, Faye and Stefan's big day is brimming with gorgeous inspiration.

From their simple church ceremony and their offbeat fairground ramble, to their potent Japanese tipples and paper pom pom-laced dessert table – this Berlin wedding perfectly ties together a little starkness and a lot of sweetness, for one unique wedding.

So, Pin It buttons at the ready folks, this one is filled with pretty shots, and sweet memories…

Our Wedding Day

Our special day started with our ceremony at church for which my sister and grandmother wore traditional kimonos.

As I am half-Japanese we also included some other Japanese elements to our wedding like paper cranes and green tea parfait.

After the ceremony my husband and I went to an old, abandoned amusement park with our photographers Hanni and Marcus. We chose the Spreepark as a location to take some photos as my husband used to visit the park frequently as a child and because of its interesting history.

Our photographers have captured the special atmosphere of the park, including the giant dinosaurs and mammoth, perfectly.

The Venue

“When we first saw our dinner and party location for the evening, the Michelberger Hotel, we couldn't help ourselves. It was love at first sight.

We like everything about this special place – its individual design, the unique furniture, the “Berlin touch” to it, the pretty restaurant filled with tables, chairs and lamps collected from street markets, the delicious food and cocktails and most of all: the fantastic people.”

The Decor

“Prior to our wedding I have spent endless hours researching and collecting ideas from websites, magazines and blogs. In the end I've found so many beautiful ideas that it was hard to decide on one specific concept or color scheme.

As my husband and I wanted to make our wedding as personal as possible we handcrafted almost the entire decoration – weeks before the wedding our apartment looked like a circus packed with pastel-colored pom poms, confetti and other custom made items…

One of my favorite things at the wedding was our candy table with the amazing ombre wedding cake that was made by my mother.

Later at night we moved from the restaurant to the lobby and bar area of the hotel where we’ve partied and sang heavily until early in the morning”.

Our Favourite Moments

“Looking back we couldn't have been happier on our wedding day, celebrating with all our loved ones and feeling lucky to have found a location to celebrate at that felt as private and personal as our own living room in one of our favorite cities in the world, Berlin.”

Such a chic couple, and such a stylish affair to match. The dessert table is fab, and I love the idea of including personal elements, like the Japanese touches and the walk in the fairground, to make the day extra special.

Thanks so much to Faye and Stefan for sharing their beautiful Berlin bash.
