The '90s are having a bit of a fashion moment aren't they?

Who can resist all those minimalist, clean lines, silk, spaghetti strap dresses, Angela Chase style plaid shirts and crop tops?

(Well, I've skipped the crop top trend this time around because, alas, I don't have the flat tummy I did as a 15 year old circa 1998.)

Hip, New York based, Houghton Bride's latest collection, debuted at Bridal Fashion Week over the weekend, was inspired by '90s style icons Kate Moss and Claudia Schiffer whose influence is seen in the spaghetti strap, body conscious gowns and bias cut, baby doll dresses.

The dresses are even named after iconic 90's stars such as Bjork, Christy and Prince, no less, and come in a range of pretty pastel shades.

“I am creating a bridal collection for the woman who wants to get married in something simple, sexy and timeless,” explained Polk. “I feel as though women should dress as they usually do on their wedding day, with just one little something extra.”

And, Polk delivers that little something extra in spades.

There's even a bridal crop top or two to lust after!

The diverse designs include sequin pants with a silk georgette blouse, a column gown with a chantilly lace ruffled cape, a short dress of white mesh with a hand painted french lace peplum, a slim silk gown in pale pink with metal details and a high low full Chantilly Lace gown over layers of gazar. Short ivory lace dresses with boleros and cropped lace tops over high low skirts rounded out the collection of separates, dresses and gowns.

We are officially obsessed with the simple, sexy, chicness of Houghton Bride's latest collection. How about you?

Oh and big waves to all our fellow My So Called Life watching, gameboy playing, platform wearing, Spice Girls/Blur/Oasis (delete as appropriate), hair flipping, '90s lovers.
