So far in our look at 2014′s Top Wedding Cake Trends we've had a dress down of naked sponges, a nostalgic look at vintage bakes, we've turned our heads for metallic cakes, buttercream wedding cakes have caused our stomachs to rumble, and we're utterly smitten for soft tone hues.
And this week, our cake columnist Jaclyn is treating us to texture.
Frills and ruffles, patterns and prints, if you're on the hunt for a unique wedding cake, texture might just be the trend for you.
Over to you Jaclyn…
Textured Wedding Cakes
This is a wedding cake with a twist.
Adding in texture to your wedding cake can really make it stand out and can be very unique and not in any way traditional.
You can get ideas from almost anywhere that you can incorporate into the cake.
Possible ideas are say, your wedding dress ruffles, the colour of your groom’s bow tie, chevron invitations or in fact, any of your wedding day décor.
