Any wedding that ends with a fleet of lanterns drifting off into the night sky, is a beautiful one in our book.
And Libby and Justin's big day not only had a fairytale ending but was gorgeous from the very beginning.
One of those perfect fall days and a lakeside farm in Illinois, played the idyllic setting for a wedding that was creative, yet classic, and rustic yet elegant – all captured by the totally talented, Photography by Betty Elaine.
Choosing a venue that isn't traditionally for weddings, Justin and Libby brought total elegance to the rustic surrounds with a beautiful sperry-style marquee, pink and white roses, polished place-settings and glamorous attire.
The bridal party opted for classic looks that are always chic; Libby wore a white strapless dress by Watters with a sweetheart neckline and lace detailing. The bridesmaids added a romantic touch sweet pink Amsale gowns, while the gents stood out on the farm, in sharp Vera Wang tuxes.
But not shying away from the intimate homely feel of their venue and their day, sky lanterns, world beers, a late night taco delivery, and dancing 'til the wee hours, gave this elegant affair a serious punch of fun.

Our Wedding
We were blessed with the most beautiful weather I could ever imagine!
We had a unique venue and set up, getting married on a private working farm and lake (that is very near and dear to our hearts and our favorite place in the world.
There has never been a wedding there before, so it took a lot of creative vision and planning, but the end result was magical.
We choose simple décor and lots of white, to really let the venue show through.
We got married on a sandy beach with a blue lake and gorgeous tall trees as our backdrop.
Then, we moved to cocktails and appetizers around the pool with our favorite guitar player and singer serenading the crowd.
We had a beer truck provide unique wine, cider and beer from all over the world. This was the first large wedding that they have done, and it was such a hit!
Our reception was in a huge beautiful field, under a big white tent full. There were horses to the side of us, a working farm and cows behind us, gorgeous tress surrounding us and a beautiful lake as our backdrop.
When it got dark, we all sent of over 25 white wish lanterns into the sky, which was simply magical to see. I loved having a sit down dinner with all of our closest friends and family. There is something about sitting down and having dinner and drinks and sweet words with everybody that you love that is so special.
Of course, we had late night Taco Bell delivered to help everyone carry through on our jam packed dance floor until 2 in the morning!
I always knew our wedding day would be something special, but thank you to our family, friends, and the incredible team of vendors, our wedding day was far better than anything we could have ever dreamed of.
Isn't it beautiful? Those sky lantern shots are just stunning, and I just love that vision of an elegant marquee glowing in a field with the bubbling of dinner and dancing – so romantic!
