Last week we shared the latest, and, arguably, the loveliest, Pronovias wedding dress collection. It was one of our favourites from Barcelona Bridal Week.

However, we all know and love Pronovias, right? When you think of Spanish bridal design they're probably the first designers that come to mind as they are so well established and popular with brides around the world.

Well today it is such a treat to introduce you all to talented Spanish bridal designers, Marco and Maria, who were under our radar (we can't believe we're only just discovering them) but are now well and truly up there with our favourite European wedding dress designers!

You'll see why when you scroll down…

The Tenerife based designer duo floored us with their ethereal 2016 wedding dress collection.

Sheer polka dots, delicate, tulle pleats and intricate laces adorn each dress creating a dream-like softness that's contrasted by Marco and Maria's signature, heavily embossed details ranging from laser cut silk feathers to taffeta ribbon, criss crossing over the bodices of their gowns.

A beautiful mix of feminine and fashion forward designs, we can't get enough of these exquisite dresses.

Here's more about the Marco and Maria wedding dress collection 2016:

The new bridal and occasion wear collection has brought to its creators the difficult task of bringing to current lines inspiration from the mid-nineteenth century, which is evident in their creations, but only shown in short strokes within them.

As a hallmark of the firm, Marco & Maria link a current period with inputs from the past. The interiors of the gowns come to light, and the petticoats, that are normally hidden, are intuited between sheer fabrics.

Adapting the theatricality of the time, organza and tulle wrap around the body, creating hyper feminine silhouettes. As for the colours, the designers have rescued those from the paintings of the time, seizing sepia, pink, nuage, ivory and of course black.

So there you have it, now you can see why we're so obsessed.

I mean, a bridal collection that's covered in pretty polka dots? What's not to love?!

We're also pretty smitten with the grown up Gretel braids, red manis and statement finger jewelry the models sported on the catwalk too. Just adds a little bit of edge, don't you think?

If you're just as enamoured as we are, why not watch the dresses in motion in the catwalk video below:
