I really do love looking at engagement shoots. They can be fun, sweet, quirky, romantic or creative.
Not only are they lovely opportunity to spend time with your other half, but they're also a great way to loosen up in front of your wedding photographer, have them learn how you naturally pose, and get some gorgeous, casual snaps in the process!
But while I love other people's couple sessions, and I totally get why they're a great idea, it's never something I would have considered for myself – until today.
I think this cool and candid engagement shoot by Stefano Santucci has me converted.
Dressed in effortlessly chic, yet causal attire, Swiss couple, Fabienne & Fabio, spent the day in Florence hanging out and taking in the sights.
As someone who's kind of terrified of PDAs, I love how this shoot is a little less lovey dovey and formal than most, while still being super sweet and romantic.
Natural, relaxed, unobtrusive and candid, this is what engagement shoots are all about. Oh and look out for some double exposure too (our new fave photography trend!)

This is Fabienne & Fabio's love session in Florence. On a spring weekend we met this cool couple from Switzerland, they will get married in Piedmont this summer and we absolutely can’t wait to be there for them.
Together, we had a walk in the center of the city visiting Piazza Santa Croce and Lungarno taking pictures and Polaroids!
What lovely photographs to have forever! It's such a nice idea to go to a new city for your engagement shoot, so you can be tourists for the day too – it always feels a little easier to be romantic on camera when you're on holiday, rather than your local stomping ground.
