There's something so impossibly chic and glamorous about a city wedding. But if that city happens to be New York, it takes on a whole other level of charm and romance.
So when we first scrolled through these pictures of Chelsea and Nick's gorgeous Brooklyn wedding day, well, we were instantly head over heels.
Elegant vintage style, beautiful blooms, sweet details, and a smile filled photo session on a brown stone street, with the talented Julia Elizabeth Photography. What's not to love?
We can't go any further without talking about Chelsea's stunning Johanna Johnson wedding dress. The beaded capped sleeves and backless design are just glorious, and she paired it so perfectly with her screen siren waves and vintage style jewellery. Wow.
Of course, Nick made a pretty dashing groom too, in his sharp, classic tux.
But perhaps what we love most about this super chic wedding (apart from the impeccable outfits) is how much heart is has.
Sourcing local Brooklyn vendors, using a meaningful venue, and including lots of personal touches, Nick & Chelsea were able to create a day that had not only a lot of style, but a whole lot of substance too.

Our Love Story
I'm a southern girl, born and raised in Georgia, and Nick is a Brooklyn boy through and through.
Though we have very different backgrounds, we have actually known each other since we were kids. Both our families have summer homes on Lake George in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York, and each summer of our childhood was spent at the lake.
Ultimately, we have our little brothers to thank for our meeting, as it was their early friendship that brought our families together. Our families began a tradition of sharing Fourth of July dinner together each year, but even though Nick and I were brought together every summer, our reserved dispositions continually kept us apart.
Finally, on the Fourth of July in the summer of 2008, at long last the stars aligned, we started talking, and we've been together ever since!
Our Wedding Day
We were married on July 25th at the Montauk Club in Park Slope, Brooklyn, a beautiful 1880s era Venetian Gothic style social club only blocks away from Nick's family home.
Nick's family are long-time members of the club, and we have made so many wonderful memories there; it was an easy choice!
For our wedding party, we kept it small and in the family, with our younger brothers designated as Best Man and Man of Honor.
Inspired by our venue, we wanted our wedding to have an old world sensibility. After choosing our venue, my second major decision was my dress, a gorgeous 1930s inspired Johanna Johnson, that I found with my mother on a marathon shopping trip on one of the coldest days of the year in New York.
The rest of the pieces fell into place rather easily. As a nod to our shared love of the Adirondacks, we chose a florist, Floxglove Floral Design Studio, who specializes in regionally grown blooms.
I was in love with the gorgeous, loosely styled berry toned arrangements, dotted with woodsy ferns and Queen Anne's Lace.
Also making the day special was the Blue Vipers of Brooklyn, the fabulously cool jazz and swing band who fit our vision so perfectly.
There were so many other elements that added to the beauty of the day, it's hard to list them all!
Those I remember most fondly include the amazing dessert table made by our neighborhood bakery, One Girl Cookies, a sign at the bar, beautifully calligraphed by Molly Amoroso, announcing our signature cocktails, each named after one of our cats, and our sweet handmade cat cake toppers by Jasmin Blanc.
All of the elements of the day were brought together by our wonderful coordinator, Tracey Goldstein of Polka Dot Events.
The day was a whirlwind, and luckily, we had a brilliant photographer in Julia Bushe of Julia Elizabeth Photography, who along with her second shooter, Eileen, was able to catch every part of it for us.
I am so grateful for the beauty we now have forever thanks to Julia Elizabeth.
Finally, I am so thankful for my loving husband, who, always cool as a cucumber, kept me calm throughout the planning process, and with whom I am so very happy to spend my life.
Isn't it beautiful? I think New York weddings are always so special because they look like they've been lifted straight out of a movie. Oh and what about Nick & Chelsea's ‘how we met' story? Amazing!
