Today we've got a pretty shoot to share with you guys that combines all the elegance of an English country house wedding, with the eclectic glamour of Moroccan decor.
Blue and orange hues, tiled touches and glistening accessories sit alongside a tiered cake, fresh linens and a refined manor house backdrop.
This shoot was conceived and captured by Hannah McClune Photography with the help of Serendipity Wedding Planning & Coordination and a host of talented vendors.

About the Shoot
Exotic travel inspired weddings have always appealed, I adore the exoticness of Morocco.
When the opportunity to have a shoot at Froyle Park came up, I gathered a trusted team of suppliers to make the vision a reality.
We wanted to keep the styling soft, delicate and pretty. A modern and romantic approach. My photography style is light and airy, suiting the dreamy theme.
The Stationery
The ‘Karima’ collection, designed by Paperknots, captures the essence of Morocco with its combination of rustic charm fused with a splash of glamour.
The collection is focussed around an Arabian-inspired tiled pattern injected with vibrant colour and eye-catching details. The pattern is also used to line the inside of your folding pochette envelope and again on the reverse of the invites.
Elements of the tiles are used to create the decorative border in which all the wedding details sit.
The colour palette echoes that of a modern Moroccan Riad, using fresh bright hues, rather than the more traditional oranges and burgundys. The colours are beautifully set off by the shimmering royal blue envelopes, which add a further touch of opulence to the suite.
The set comes bound with baker’s twine and a guest name tag, with matching envelope seal stickers and address labels to finish.
The Wedding Cake
Melissa Woodland Cakes created a five tier cake incorporating a soft blue and a classic Moroccan quatrefoil overlay.
A cascade of sculptural sugar flowers in white ensured the cake was modern with a nod to the classic.
The Tablescape
To style the reception setting, Rachael of Serendipity Weddings began with classic white linen and complimented Tarnia’s floral decor with simple white china, elegant silverware and a mixture of textured and gold coloured glassware all hired from Classic Crockery.
Additional bursts of colour were added using pale blue tealights and coordinating ombre, dip-dye napkins whilst Moroccan touches were incorporated using traditional glass lanterns and Judy’s calligraphy adorned placecards.
Academy Furniture Hire loaned the stunning ghost chairs shown in the tablescape images and throughout the shoot. Their beautifully clean lines offer a modern twist on your wedding seating.
The Flowers
We created this look by using flowers in ivory and blue warmed with a splash of yellow and inky iris', to nod to Morocco.
The bride carried a hand tied bouquet finished with a turquoise ribbon.
For the table we created a foliage garland which we dressed with Moroccan lanterns and cute pops of colour with the flowers in pretty glass dishes.
The Escort Cards
Guests can find their seat at dinner via the eye-catching escort card display created by Judy Broad Calligraphy using pretty blue and green inks on Moroccan style ceramic tiles.
The Favours
For the happy couple’s favours Rachael filled small round metal tins with mint tea leaves before decorating them with mustard and white twine and quirky ‘Mint to Be’ stickers created by Lisa.
The Hair & Make-up
The make-up was kept soft, but defined. Glowing natural skin teamed with a nude lip & gentle blushing cheeks.
The eyes were the main focus using soft golds & warm chocolate browns to add pop and definition.
The hair was kept soft & romantic. Gentle waves were created to add texture & volume the hair was then carefully twisted & pinned into a messy up do. A hair vine added to give glamor to the style.
The Attire
Sophie Grace Bridal chose a beautiful gown by Diane Legrand called Marci Rose.
Combining a stunning embellished bodice with a soft fluid chiffon skirt, it is the epitome of vintage boho chic. Timeless in style with a touch of glamour, a perfect combination.
Donna Crain provided the Aurelio hair vine, the green and gold comb, Elle, a necklace called Grace and rose gold drop earrings.
Stress3Hire chose to combine the popular black tux suit with the slim fitting white shirt for a modern, yet formal groom’s look. Rather than a traditional pined buttonhole, the modern suit was complimented with a row of flowers in the pocket.
So, pretty right? While we always encourage couples to plan their decor in keeping with their wedding venue, it's cool to see how little touches from different themes can make sure a big impact, and really tie in nicely.
