So… We Want To Come To Your Wedding (Yes Really!)

I’m often asked questions about ‘the average wedding’.

“How much does an average wedding cost?”; “How many bridesmaids are there in the average wedding”; “How many bottles of Prosecco do you need for an average wedding.”

But the thing is, there’s no such thing.

Weddings have evolved. They’re more personalised, they’re more fun, and they’re more creative than ever before.

And the ‘average couple’ has evolved too. We want to showcase weddings that represent every faith, race, size, style, and gender.

And so, this summer, we want YOU!

We’ve teamed up with our pal Nova at Nu Bride, and the lovely ladies at Brides Magazine, to work on a very exciting project. To paint a diverse picture of what a Great British wedding looks like in 2017.

On July 29th 2017, we’re going to cover the country, attending small church weddings, big religious ceremonies, city elopements for two, and garden parties in the countryside for 200.

Whoever you are, however you’re getting married – and whatever your budget – we want to share your day.

Think of it like a Great British census of weddings – we want to make sure your unique day gets counted!

And we really do want to come. Not to raid your dessert table or take over the dancefloor – we simply want to blend into the background and witness what it means to get married in Great Britain today.

We’ll be sending out reporters from Brides, Nu Bride, and the Bridal Musings team to potentially share the story of your wedding both in the magazine and online.

We’re so eager for Bridal Musings’ readers here in the UK to take part in this very exciting project.

So, if you are (or someone you know is) getting married on July 29th (a fortuitous date, it’s also my anniversary!) and want to get involved, all you need to do is enter your details below.

Fill out the details by 25th May 2017, and if you make it onto our shortlist, we will get back to you no later than 23rd June 2017. And then we’ll see you at the aisle (if you even have one, that is!).
