Castle Wedding Inspiration with Luxe Festive Vibes

Today we’ve got an inspiration shoot to share, that got lots of ideas, for lots of different weddings.

With plenty of evergreen and gold touches, it has quite a Christmas wedding vibe. Foliage garland and olive oil favours create a distinctly Tuscan feel. While the castle setting, romantic style, and pretty details make it altogether whimsical.

It’s a mixed (and beautiful!) bag.

Photographed by Amy Caroline Photography and planned by We Tie the Knots, it features the unique castle wedding backdrop of Cherokee Ranch (such an epic venue!) alongside the talents of some amazing Colorado wedding vendors.

Favours, escort cards, florals and place settings – I think you guys are going to be inspired by this one…

From the Photographer

This shoot was designed to have an identity and charisma of it’s own. It didn’t need it to fit in a modern, or boho, or mountain wedding box.

We wanted to create a shoot that meets the many different aspects of a Colorado bride’s individually. She is often adventurous, outdoorsy, loves a good mountain view, but also has a classic and modern side.

This shoot took that classy personality and mixed it with a touch of whimsy. Our florals were wonderfully organic and natural, we wanted a huge bouquet that had a mind of it’s own, and really represented the eccentric and fun side of a Colorado wedding.

Claire Williams with We Tie the Knots created a tablescape that was a perfect a mix of organic floral arrangements, modern napkins, marble name cards, and table tops, mixed all shades of calming greens. The perfect combination of romance and contemporary.

Our color platte was a clean set of whites, creams and greens.

We chose a Colorado venue that has wonderful historic charm – The Cherokee Ranch and Castle – and incredible views. The castle created that elegant magic that is often missing in a lot of Colorado venues, and gave us a swanky backdrop for our bride and groom.

While this was not a real wedding, we had a real married couple model for us. We wanted that connection, chemistry and charm that comes with a sweet couple in-love. This shoot took them back to their own wedding day, and allowed them to relive some of those wonderful wedding moments.

Our wedding dress was a romantic twist from A & Bé Bridal Shop with layers of cream tulle and a structured bodice, again mixing class with whimsy.

All weddings should fit the personality of the bride and groom, and we felt that this shoot perfectly embodied just that. This inspiration shoot came from the creative sides of all those involved; it had an identity of it’s own and we love it for that.
