Today’s real wedding is a lesson in why it’s important to keep an open mind when you’re planning a wedding.

Michèle & Sébastien are a French couple who wanted a wedding by the sea in Italy, and ended up tying the knot on the beautiful Greek island of Corfu. And it worked out pretty perfectly!

Their wedding day, and romantic photo session the day before, were captured candidly by Elias Kordelakos – who put this camera-shy couple at ease with his wonderful work. On planning was Anna Dedes, of Rosmarin Wedding, who held nothing back with the luxurious and romantic styling.

An especially pretty affair (look out for Michèle’s simple yet oh-so-chic Jenny Packham wedding dress!) from the flowers, to the favours, and the place settings to the table plan, if you love all things gorgeous, gold and pink, with a touch of storybook whimsy, this one will make you swoon.

Our Wedding

Our wedding in three words? Sunny, funny, happy.

None of us had been to Greece before. We wanted a wedding next to the sea and on open air. We also wanted to bring our families to somewhere where they could spend some nice time with us.

Thanks to Anna (our brilliant wedding planner) we found the perfect place.

We wanted an elegant wedding and as we saw from the other weddings Anna had already organised, we had full trust in her skills and worked on an inspirational Pinterest board with her.

If we had to do it again, we wouldn’t change anything. The church and venue decoration were beyond our expectations.

The weather was just perfect. It was the hottest day of the week! We were really blessed.

The Photography

We talked with Elias on Skype before the wedding, we told him we wanted documentary style pictures. We hate to strike a pose – and we’re really not comfortable being in photographs.

It was a great surprise when we worked together, he really knew how to make us confident.

And the pictures we received few week later, were a huge gift.

Seb & Michelle are from Paris, France and wanted originally to get married in Italy.

As they couldn’t find something to fit their needs, they expanded their search and found in the absolute beauty of Corfu, everything they dreamed of!

Corfu or Kerkira (in Greek) is defined by rugged mountains and a resort-studded shoreline. Its cultural heritage reflects years spent under Venetian, French and British rule. A small Italy, right here in Greece!

We had the opportunity to do a couples’ session the day before at the historical centre. The wedding was held in October, but as you see for yourselves, the weather was nothing less than perfect.
