This beautiful Irish wedding is full of quirky, vintage, eclectic goodness. The bride, Kate,  explained ” Our style was our own ~ a bit of this and a bit of that…” The reception is full of DIY details from the stamped favour bags to the photobooth!

In Part 1 lots of you were loving Kate's gorgeous champagne gold David Fielden dress and her maid's white dresses, today I suspect you'll be loving the crisp, white and green details and the unique, home made photobooth set up by Sean. It has to be seen to be believed.

But first, more couples shots and fun group shots on the moody, atmospheric and picturesque Dingle Bay, Co Kerry.

The Flowers, Decor & Details

The flowers were all Hydrangeas, simply because I LOVE them, Annemarie the florist was a dream. I spoke to her on the phone a week before the wedding, at the time she was half way up a ladder at someone else’s wedding and even then nothing was a problem. Everyone needs a florist like this lady!

We had a candy table, Who eats cake these days? I did go to the local supermarket to get a chocolate fudge cake and a plain sponge and dolled them up for the table. The next day they were still there. So nobody eats cake these days! For the candy table favors I stamped a million bags with “all you need is love”  there were no bags or sweets left the next day!

The Wedding Music & Entertainment:

I walked into the chapel to an instrumental of Andrew Lloyd  Webbers “all I ask of you”  we walked out to “Tabhair dom do lámh” and our first dance was to Al Greens “Lets stay Together” We had a band and a friend of ours is a Dj so he kept us well entertained into the small hours. At midnight we called everyone outside to let off sky lanterns which looked amazing floating off over Dingle Bay.

Personal Touches

Loads from books to a photo booth room which had the photo booth made by Sean, but the room was filled with family photos, which provided the night with lots of story telling. That room was packed for most of the night. So glad we did that.

The Photographer

This was the only sticky point was the photographer. Sean is the “Photographer!” There was many a joke about how timers would have to be used or how he would be missing from the wedding album altogether. Finally we found the solution, Sean's Friend Daniel Griffiths from Sydney said that he would come and capture our day, we knew he would love Dingle and would be up for anything. We still love what Daniel did for us. Yet another friend who became entwined our day!

Favourite Moment

We were surrounded by friends and family who each had a part in the day; from being there to support us, to give advice, helping with make and do, staying up til the wee hours to decorate the marque, readings at the chapel, or the friend who makes you realize this isn't a dream as she gasps when she sees you walk into the chapel.
And as I walked up the isle hand in hand with my Uncle, looking at Sean, it was the most breath-taking moment of my life and a memory that will stay with me always. Ok obviously I was getting married to the man that never fails to make me laugh and holds my heart so deeply in his, but also because we were surrounded by people that love and care for us and who each played such a part in our magical day.

Any Advice For Other Brides?

This day belongs to you and your partner, don’t let any one spoil it. There is no right and wrong.  No rule book There is only what works for you both. No one else matters. Your wedding day whether you have lived together before or not, or have been together 20 years before the day or two weeks, your wedding day is the start of something so special and almost magical, start it right. Fill it with what makes you both happy, and then you have started on the right foot.

Such wonderful advice!

Thanks so much to Sean and Kate for sharing their gorgeous wedding day with us and to Daniel Griffiths who took these incredible photos. And a special mention must go to the groom, Sean, and his ingenious DIY photobooth contraption!
