Dreamy Pink Wedding In France

Dreamy Pink Wedding In France | Marion Heurteboust 4

Prepare for the creamy, dreamy pink details of this French & American wedding in Southwestern France.

From the shoes, to the altar, to the florals and the bridesmaids dresses, this airy outdoor chateau wedding features so much dreamy pink and we still can’t get enough. The light peach colors that fill the space and adorable lemonade stand keep us smiling, while the cool, retro getaway car is the real kicker.

Diane and Jeremy made sure to include plenty of party elements to make their international guests feel comfortable, giving the party a bright and welcoming atmosphere I’m sure they all never forget. All photographed by Marion H matching her fitting light and ethereal style.

Our Love Story

We met at school. We were both enrolled in the same Masters program in London and as fate would have it we ended up living in the same London flat together with three other students. We were flatmates from the very beginning and quickly started spending a lot of time together.

We were living apart at the time of our engagement. I was back home in the United States, living in New York, and Jeremy was living and working in Geneva. Around Christmas time I went to visit Jeremy in Switzerland and he surprised me by taking me down to Lac Leman and getting down on one knee.

The Dress & Attire

My dress was by Casablanca Bridal. I loved the details of the feminine sweetheart neckline and beaded lace bodice with the unadorned tulle skirt. For me the mixture was elegant and appropriate for an outdoor summer wedding. I found it while trying on dresses with my mom and grandmother. It was very special for me to shop for my dress with the most important women in my life and they were able to be there to see me find it!

The groom wore a navy blue suit from Suit Supply with a floral bow tie. His groomsmen also wore navy blue suits but their bowties were coral to match the dresses of the bridesmaids. The bridesmaids wore dresses from Azazie all in coral but each in a different cut that they had picked out. I bought each of them coral colored drop earrings.

The Venue & Atmosphere

We loved our venue for its red brick manor house so typical for the Toulouse region of France and the beautiful green park surrounding the house that could serve as a natural backdrop for our wedding ceremony. We really loved the idea of having everything happen in one location and maintaining the energy of the wedding ceremony through the dinner and party.

We wanted a big party! We were slightly nervous about the mixing of cultures and languages as I am American and Jeremy is French and there were many guests who did not speak either English or French. We organized everything in the wedding around bridging this language and culture gap and having old friends and new, French and American, mix together.

The Reception

We wanted the reception to remain fun and interactive. We created a crossword puzzle with questions about the couple that kept the tables busy while they ate and encouraged old friends and new from different countries and different parts of our lives to exchange information they knew about us.

The menu was mostly French to match the venue and introduce American and International guests to the delicious cuisine of the southwest of France. The main course was quail cooked in a sauce of foie gras, girolle mushrooms, and sundried tomatoes with a side of fresh vegetables (carrots, zucchini, mushrooms) and homemade mashed potatoes. Dessert was a trio of fresh strawberries in a chilled strawberry soup, mint and chocolate crème à la menthe with a chocolate ganache biscuit,  and a mini panna cotta with basil and wild berries to top it all off! Instead of a traditional tiered cake we had macarons!

We went to bed at 7am. When the dancing ended at 5am we went swimming with our friends in the pool on the property. We both got out of their wedding attire poolside!
