Pretty neon pink wedding ideas from an 800 year old barn

For the old, we find a rustic centuries-old barn venue that acts as the perfect blank canvas for any bride or groom’s own personal style. Classy, painted wedding stationery reflects the old-world vibes of the countryside venue.

For the new, we delight in a few of our favorite current wedding-day trends: vibrant neon signage and an alternative wedding cake made of sweet macarons. The aisle runner, too, adds a current whimsical touch with calligraphed lyrics to Stevie Wonder’s song ‘Amour’.

This UK wedding inspiration took a timeless colour palette of blush and gold and updated it with modern unabashed swathes of pink and colourful pops of fuchsia. Strong inspiration was drawn from the textured surface of rose quartz and the romantic setting of the oldest wedding barn in England.

Neon pink details – on the hand-painted stationery, lighting and smoke bombs – formed a key part of the aesthetic, adding modern elements to this shoot and giving the style a contemporary feel. “Amour” was the anchoring inspiration lifted from the Stevie Wonder classic My Cherie Amour.

Liz Baker worked with both 35mm and medium format film photography to give her signature high-end, fashion editorial feel to the imagery. Beth from Apple and Bramble Events and Caroline from Fleur Provocateur used the love song: “My cherie amour, pretty little one that I adore, You’re the only girl my heart beats for.” Beth hand-painted the lyrics onto the runner which ran the whole length of the aisle.
