Are you a fan of black and white stripes?

Maybe you're wearing them right now like this pretty lady?

{Probably the only person in the history of the world who manages to look slim in thick horozontal stripes!}

There's no denying black and white stripes are a style staple and I think it's safe to say they will never go out of fashion.

But the big question is, would you consider incorporating black and white stripes into your wedding?!

Black and white stripes at a wedding are a bold choice. They're not particularly girly, feminine or soft.  They are designed to make a statement ~ a chic one at that!

However, they can also look a little OTT. When I was researching this post some of the black and white decor, wedding ideas and cakes I found were so intense and ‘in your face' it felt like I was being hypnotized!

So I'm here to show you the chicest and most stylish ways to incorporate black and white stripes into your wedding day style. I don't know about you but I personally think that black and white stripes at weddings work best when paired with another colour or a combination of colours.

So for Part 1 of my stripey inspiration, I've put together a chic, bright and juicy inspiration board:

Black and White Stripes and Apple Green

A classic way to incorporate stripes at a wedding is to tie a striped ribbon around the bouquet. As you can see these otherwise plain and simple bouquets of white flowers with a hint of green become far more interesting with the addition of stripes.

The striped favour boxes with finger print heart label stickers demonstrate how to jazz up a plain white box ~ the chic way. Another unique favour/name place holder idea is a juicy Granny Smith apple with striped ‘leaves' pinned to the top ~ how fabulous!

If rain is threatening {or even if it's not} a stripey vintage parasol is the perfect prop for the classiest of photos. You can even learn how to make striped pasta if you're domestically inclined!

And finally, I simply had to share these fantastic striped lanterns with you ~ the perfect finishing touch to the stripe lovers' wedding day decor. Extra perfect hanging from a great big green tree!

I've got another stripey board coming your way tomorrow where I'll share some ideas on how to use more pretty, girly hues alongside black and white stripes ~ I just can't get enough of them!
