Hello and welcome to Wednesday!

I'm thrilled to share this quirky and playful engagement shoot with you this morning. Here's why:

a) Anna and Jonny are all kinds of cool. I love the shots of them dancing in the park with wild abandon. Also Jonny's proposal was so beautifully thoughtful (scroll down to read it).

b) Anna DIYed the cutest little picnic complete with bunting, cupcake flags, drink stirrers and vintage style ‘A & J are getting married' luggage labels for the two of them.

c) Craig and Kate‘s photography ~ I just adore their quirky, fun and edgy style. These photos are absolutely stunning…

Anna and Jonny met at university and got to know each other thanks to the TA, they both signed up to train in the Army alongside their degrees. Jonny proposed to Anna in Cyprus which is a place Anna holds dear to her heart as her father was serving out there when he was killed in a parachuting accident. It was there, standing at her father’s memorial on the RAF base that Jonny asked for his permission to marry her! Later that night he got down on one knee under the stars and proposed with a ring he had designed himself!

We did their engagement shoot in Dorset at an amazing National Trust park where Jonny's Nan works and loves so it only seemed right for the shoot to take place there. The engagement shoot was important to Anna and she wanted to make it as special as possible, she had packed up a picnic for all of us and even made flags for the cakes with their names on. The park had so many places to photograph and under the late afternoon sun it only seemed right to get Anna and Jonny to practice their first dance, which turned into some funky kinda moves I have never seen before!!

Congratulations Anna and Jonny! Best of luck with the rest of your wedding plans.

Many thanks to Kate and Craig ~ it's been such a pleasure featuring your work.
