How's your Tuesday going so far? Good I hope!

As you read this I'll have been on the red eye from Kuwait to London (via Amsterdam!) then I'll be hopping on a train to Birmingham, tired but excited for what's sure to be a fabulous evening at The Rock My Wedding Pretty Naughty party.

RMW has been a huge inspiration to me first as a bride and then as a wedding blogger, so it's an honour to be attending. But I must admit I've been in a flap about what to wear as they're such a fashionable bunch.

Talking of stylish folk, remember Adam and Dawn's chic garden wedding ceremony from yesterday?

Well it's time to take a peek at this musician couple's darling DIY reception. Expect stripy straws, mason jars, bunting, baker's twine and more!

Here's Dawn and Adam with the details:

All of flowers for the reception were selected by the bride at the SF Flower Mart.  The centerpieces were arranged by the groom’s father and Maid of Honor.  Runners were made by bride and matching napkins were from Ikea.

Our favors were etched mason jar mugs with our first initials.  The groom hand etched each one.  The groom also designed the stationery and buttons which were attached to our napkins with baker’s twine.

The Wedding Music

Processional: These Arms of Mine by Otis Redding, Recessional: Believer by John Maus, First Dance: Tracks (Tall Bodies) by Chelsea Wolfe, Parents Dance: Sleepwalk by Santo and Johnny

The Photographer

We chose Janel KG Photography because not only does Janel take awesome photos, but she has been a close friend of the bride for many years.

Their advice to other couples is:

Try to have everything done early so that you have time to relax the week before the wedding.

Ideally, the lead up to your wedding day should be a fun, exciting time ~ a time to let go of all the stress of planning and simply accept that what will be will be.

Congratulations Adam and Dawn! Many thanks to you both and  Janel KG Photography for sharing these beautiful photos with us, it's been such a pleasure featuring them. (If you missed Part 1, take a peek here.)

Wish me luck for tonight, guys. I always get so nervous at these industry events! x
