For this story I was inspired by the gorgeous bride in the sparkly golden wedding dress (she designed it herself!) and the wonderful chalkboard globes.

I love the drama of the golden sequins. So fabulous! And bringing together a rustic barn setting, sequins and a little bit of black tie makes for one stylish wedding!

 Styling Tips

– Work with the rustic theme sticking to natural tones; mason jars, wooden crates, chalkboard signage and glam it up with small hints; stylish typography on a hand chalked sign or a hint of a sequin table cloth take the look up a notch and add some glamour.

– Statement monograms look fab in this setting whether it be giant wooden letters or a moss covered cut out monogram. Carry this through into the rest of your details for favours, menus, thank you cards etc.

– This look is really nice with black accents so try a statement black shoe or a black sash for your gown and make sure all your groomsmen and bridesmaids match – the juxtaposition of rustic hints against super groomed matching attire works really well and brings an unexpected air of sophistication.

Love those globes? Here’s a DIY tutorial on how to make chalkboard globes.
