I love this bride's style. From her short and chic rose lace dress to her twisted, messy side chignon hairstyle, black patent Armani heels and statement Art Deco onyx earrings.

Her bouquet was wrapped in stripes and filled with lisianthus, small white roses and berries which were spray painted black to match the rest of her outfit!

Natalie, I salute you. And Stefan you looked perfectly dapper too!

Natalie and Stefan's Sydney wedding was ‘just so them'. They omitted traditions that didn't suit them (no bridal party or first dance) and incorporated new traditions such as the bride vs the pinata! They described their wedding as ‘fun, perfect and amazing'.

Just take a look at these beautiful photos by Origami Creatives and you'll see why.

 From the bride…

Stefan and I wanted to keep things really simple and didn’t want to over do it with any theme or a lot of decorations as the venue itself and the surroundings were stunning enough. We’re a pretty easy going couple, who just love hanging out with our friends and having a good time. With good food and great wine.

 The Ceremony

My sister did a reading which she wrote personally fo Stefan and myself – we also lit a candle in memory of my father who passed away and could not be with us that day. I was given away be my Brother and my 2 year old niece.

 The Photography

We chose Origami Creatives because we loved what we saw on their website when we were hunting for photographers and then when we actually met them they didn’t even have to convince us to use them – we liked them straight away.

They are a really fantastic, friendly and talented bunch of people and you can really see that they love their job and what they do. They really get to know you as a couple and really tailor the shoots to match your personalties – it’s just awesome!!

 Décor & Details

Stefan liked the character of the beach house so it was just really easy to keep the colour scheme as green, yellow, pink and white. We wanted to add some fun by adding cool fruits and cool mints as part of the decorations with the flowers on the tables.

We had an assortment of different white flowers in clear, recycled jam jars. I also found some colour vases that matched in with the stained glass windows at the venue.

I purchased white paper lanterns online and sourced the coloured ribbon from Lincraft. My sister and sister in law helped me to secure the ribbons to the bottom of the lanterns so that on the day, staff at the venue only had to quickly open them up and hang from the ceiling.

 The Favours

We had chocolate hearts covered in shiny coloured wrapping (yellow, green and pink) and we found Evil Eye beads which we popped on string and made wristbands for our guests. The evil eyes bring good-luck and ward off evil in Greek Mythology and with Stefan being half Greek , we thought we’d add that for a bit of fun.

My sister, friend and myself had a crafty afternoon and made the paper mache heart (which housed the favours) over a few glasses of wine. The paper mache heart was then busted by myself at the end of the night.

 The Wedding Music

Processional Song – Eddie Vedder ‘Longing to Belong'

Stefan and I didn’t really have our first dance song – we have a song that always reminds us of Sydney by Calvin Harris and when that song came on a group of us all got up on the dance floor.

 Advice for other couples…

I guess for me the most important advice I can share is to keep it real and do what’s true for you.

You don’t need to feel pressured into all the bells and whistles if you don’t want them. It’s your day, and you know what? You should do what you want and what makes you happy, there aren’t any hard and fast rules.

Don’t sweat the small stuff because on your day you will only remember having a great time with all your friends and family. It was the best day we have ever had so far.

Congratulations Natalie and Stefan!

Thanks for sharing your special day with us and thanks also to Origami Creatives for these gorgeous photos.
