Zachery and Chayse got married at the picturesque Louland Falls in Parleys Canyon, Utah and This Girl Nicole Photography was on hand to capture all the rustic goodness.

There were mason jars, wood chargers and burlap table runners galore, fairy lights strung every which way, a BBQ buffet, a dance floor under the stars and an epic sparkler exit.

Chayse wore a Vera Wang ball gown nipped in at the waist with a rich, plum coloured sash and carried a bouquet of pretty purple blooms. She looked beautiful – I'm especially loving her side swept hair and sparkly hair piece.

As Zachery and Chayse were on a tight budget they incorporated lots of darling DIY projects. Like the lavender filled mason jars tied with twine that lined the ceremony aisle chairs and were then used again as centrepieces during the reception – such a great idea!

 From The Couple…

Our wedding was a DIY/rustic inspired wedding with the colours being purple, grey, and neutrals from all of the burlap and wood.

We really wanted to incorporate our personalities and styles into our wedding, such as me in a big poofy ball gown and my husband in his Levi’s. We both like country music and that “style”, particularly my husband, so the whole rustic theme screamed ‘us'. We are a fun-loving, laid back couple so we didn’t want a “stuffy” kind of wedding, we thought of our big day as more of a giant celebration where we got to party with all of our family and friends. The entire wedding was just so us! I couldn't have been happier!

It was so special to have an old friend of the bride's marry us. Mr. Scott Hinckley has been a dear friend for years and we couldn't have asked for a better Minister.

 Décor & Details

Our venue was located on a beautiful, rocky mountain side so we did not need to decorate much. Our wedding was very budget friendly, so most of the décor was inspired by DIY projects on Pinterest – we covered the wedding with mason jars and lavender.

Each table had a burlap table runner and a centrepiece that consisted of a slab of wood, a couple of mason jars accented with twine and filled with lavender and candles. The head table was lined with mason jars and mercury glass candle holders and elevated at different heights by pieces of wood. Draped in front of the bride and groom was a burlap banner that was hand painted by my maid of honour with our names on it.

 The Photography

We chose Nicole of This Girl Nicole Photography because she has an amazing eye for photography. This girl will climb all over the place until she gets that perfect shot. She did not miss a single moment of our wedding! I am so pleased with the work she has done for us and I will have her back the next time we need photos taken!!

 Refreshments

We did a BBQ/buffet style dinner serving: Beef tips, garlic mashed potatoes and a spinach salad with strawberry vinaigrette. We had a bride & groom cake, and cupcakes for the guests.

 The Wedding Music

The music was done by the groom's sister Ashleigh Maxwell. Our first dance was ‘FREE' by Zac Brown Band.

 Advice For Other Couples

Our big day was made possible because of our wonderful and creative family. My suggestion to brides on a budget is if you have creative, hands on friends and family, use them! Making all of the décor/centrepieces for the wedding really helped out our budget. Also, decide what is most important to you on that big day and budget for those things (i.e wedding dress, photographer) and skip out on something that may be less important, such as a DJ for us. My husbands sister played the music all night from her laptop and the venue supplied the sound system.

Overall, just have fun! Don't stress over the little things and do your wedding the way you want to do it! I did my entire wedding on a budget so I know it is possible. I had so many guests tell me that our wedding was the best they had ever been to and the main reason was because we were enjoying ourselves and not worrying about the small stuff! So have fun this day only happens once!

Congratulations Zachery and Chayse – I hope you're thoroughly enjoying newly married life! Thanks to you both and This Girl Nicole Photography for sharing this gorgeous day with us.
