A stunning cliff-top ceremony, a picturesque stroll on the beach, some cheeky kisses under the boardwalk and a seaside-hued marquee for a back yard bash.

Katie and Evan's beautiful Nova Scotia nuptials prove a beach wedding doesn't have to be all tropical waters and white sands.

Beautifully photographed by Candace Berry Photography, this chic soiree took it's lead from the location. Fresh ocean breezes and breath-taking views, complement deep blue decor, pale aqua paper goods, and fresh sea foam florals.

Candace says that capturing Katie and Evan's wedding was a wonderful, if windswept, experience.

It was a perfect day, all sunshiny and golden, with fresh sea breezes. They are such a sweet couple, and obviously adore each other.

Beautiful, nautical details decorated both the stunning cliff top ceremony and elegant white tent reception. I especially loved the surfboard guestbook and the groomsmen’s wave cufflinks. While the bridesmaids looked amazing in navy lace, that deep colour of the Atlantic Ocean on a summer’s day!”

The Planning

Evan and Katie's wedding planner, Katelyn Hipson of Elegant Productions says the couple planned their day with their guests in mind.

From the beginning of the planning stages, all Katie and Evan ever wanted was to celebrate their love surrounded by family and friends. Her main priority was ensuing all of their guests were taken care of, and his main priority was making sure she was happy!”

The Venue

Countless venues were considered, but at every site visit there was always just one item on the priority list missing that kept bringing them back to their dream wedding location, Eagle's Cliff Oceanview Estate in Yarmouth, NS.

With a bit of encouragement that all of the logistics would seamlessly fall into place, it was decided that their wedding would take place a top a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Not only was their new found wedding venue able to offer them the most beautiful location for a wedding ceremony in all of Atlantic Canada, but it provided the perfect property for a stunning tent to host a fantastic reception into the wee hours of the morning.

The Best Moment

The Daft Punk Tribute band, flown in from Toronto rocked the party all night long.

The dance floor was crowded until the very last song, which I will always remember, Katie and Evan's smiling faces, huddled in the middle of all of their wedding guests, belting along to “Hey Jude.”

It was a wedding of epic proportions, one that Katie and Evan's guests had never before seen, and most likely never will again.”
