Happy Weekend!

If you’re spending your Saturday immersed in all things taffeta and table settings, wiling away your weekend on the hunt for inspiration, then you’re in luck, this week has been a busy one ’round here.

For some dandy Disney wedding inspiration, just take a look at this fabulous Fairytale Inspiration Shoot by Katelyn James Photography. And while we’re wandering down the garden path, be inspired (and pin away) with our guide to Cascading Bouquets.

Our real weddings this week were each as unique as the last, a riverside garden party, an intimate beach bash, and a fun glamping festival-themed wedding in the English countryside. Take your pick.

This chic and glamorous inspiration shoot, looks like it’s been lifted straight from the pages of Vogue.

Oh, and before we forget… check out John Legend’s wedding playlist. It’s a R’n’B dream. And if all that wasn’t enough, we’ve got even more inspiration today from the terribly talented wedding stationery designer, Rose of Rose and Ruby Paper Co. who shares a truly chic wedding inspiration board, contrasting pretty hues with edgy undertones.

Take it away Rose…

Rose, Steel, Tulle and Black Wedding Inspiration

Steely and monochrome, this palette works beautifully with a single delicate accent colour.

Inspired by dramatic City Hall weddings in San Francisco and gritty urban skylines, I love this urban, pretty palette for a glamorous city soiree or even a super stylish elopement.

To recreate:

  • A distressed city backdrop can be such a stunning contrast for the most perfect of ruffley white dresses and long flowing veils so make the most of an interesting space and make sure you get some dramatic photos!
  • I love this palette with the contrast of delicate pink, and spray roses are the perfect partner – delicate and glamorous.
  • If pink isn’t for you this palette also works beautifully with accents of aqua or peach or dusty pale blue.
  • Think contrast; a fabulous couture lace gown paired with dressed down hair and cute flat pumps can look so stylish.

How chic? Love the idea of a big romantic gown for an intimate city elopement.
