Romantic Rose Garden Wedding

Today's real wedding is a botanical feat of gorgeousness.

A celebration in a rose garden, with blooms at every turn; peach peonies, coral roses, ivory anemones and white ranunculus – and that's only the bridal bouquet.

Mallarie and Jesse were married in spectacular style in a rose garden donated by her grandparents at the University of Tennessee.

Our Wedding

It's hard to put in just three words but…Exquisite, Whimsical and Elegant.

A wedding beyond our wildest dreams in my grandparents rose garden in The University of Tennessee Gardens, followed by a fresh, fun and beautiful reception in the plaza.

I had a vision in my mind of what I wanted and just went after it. Megan (of Beauty by Megan Floral Events) was such a huge help, was always on the same page and executed my vision absolutely perfectly!

After our engagement, I put my vision into play and went to Pinterest and looked up things I was going after and pinned like crazy! Then to Etsy to find people to help me get all the things I needed to help it all come together with all the perfect details and with the help of Megan, it was absolutely perfect.

I went with ivory lace and sunset colors, lots of corals and peaches, with a little grey and silver. The colors were all so beautiful together!

The Ceremony

We had an intimate ceremony it was short and sweet but felt magnificent and heartfelt. Without a flaw it was perfectly majestic!

The Photography & Videography

We picked JoPhoto because their work speaks for itself, we just love them, they are so talented, artistic and creative. We could not of made a better choice!

Loch & Key does great stuff and we are anxiously awaiting our wedding video to see how amazing it will be!

The Refreshments

Everyone enjoyed natural and fresh flavor-infused waters and teas, along with fresh homemade red or white Sangrias, with all sorts of different toppings on the bar you could add to your Sangria.

Everything from Luxe was so so good, Bettina is really awesome!

Our food too was so impeccable, she made exactly what we wanted happen.

We wanted fresh, organic, in-season local foods, with kind of a Southern farmers’ market type feel but most importantly, I wanted everything to be awesome and it was beyond!

The cake from The Sweetery was to die for, is was an amazing pink Champagne cake! Everyone said it's the best wedding cake they have ever had and we agree!

Thinking about it all makes us wish we had some of it all now or could do it all over and over again!

Advice For Other Couples

I found Pinterest really great (and dangerous!) but it really did help us in planning everything and all our details.

We also found Etsy great for finding lot of the perfect details and custom things we needed for our special day!

All of our vendors played a huge part in our special day and we are so thankful for each and every one of them!

We really had no idea how expensive things were going to be we did not know what to expect, and things add up very quickly!

I had a vision and was lucky to be marrying a man who thought my vision was perfect and also wanted it to be the very best day possible and we are so blessed we were able to make it happen!

It was without a doubt worth it!

Try not to stress, enjoy all the parts leading up to your day, keep in mind once it’s the big day it will fly by you and you will wish you could go back over and over!

It really is crazy how time flies on your wedding, so soak it up, I literally tried to take time to smell the flowers because it is here and then it’s just memories!

The Flowers

Being in the Rose Gardens, I wanted to go with mostly roses for the flowers, but Megan also came up with a perfect mixture to make all the floral creations perfect from the beautiful bridal bouquet, to bouts, flower girl basket arrangements, and the pergola for the ceremony covered in beautiful florals.

She also put together a floral welcome and thank you piece, and an amazing memorial creation, gorgeous centerpieces, phenomenal floral reception focal points, floral entry tie-backs, and even made an amazing rosemary hedge garden to surround the stage for the entertainment!

I wanted a lot of floral and she, for sure, did not let me down.

I also wanted to give our guests a piece of the garden, to take a rose bush home with them. She also made sure that happened and all of our guests loved it.

Favourite Moment

Our favourite moment was just that the day had finally come to get married. We really loved being able to share the special day with the people who are the closest to us, and most important in our lives.

Seeing my grandparents so proud of the celebration we created in the garden they donated, was the best feeling ever. It really can not get much better!
