What with holidays, the busy season, and our own friends weddings to go to, the last few weeks have been pretty hectic around Bridal Musings. (Elizabeth and I are so excited about sitting in one place for a few weeks at a time, in September!)

But no matter how busy we are, we always make time for two things, 1. wiling away an hour (or four) on Pinterest and 2. Spending a chunk of time (and often a chunk of cash) on Etsy.

A treasure trove of handmade dresses, bespoke decor and personalised presents, it's a great place to be inspired, and put your own personal stamp on your wedding.

It can be crowded on there, and there's a lot of choice, so, if you don't know where to start, our  Bridal Musings Etsy page is just the place, filled with our own edit of gorgeous wedding buys.

So continuing our forage into the very coolest, chicest, prettiest items, you simply have to see, this week's Etsy Find of the Week is something you've actually probably seen before.

Maybe you've even pinned it.

But did you know where it came from?

This awesome geo curtain backdrop by French Knot Studios was made famous by a certain picture below, taken by Izzy Hudgins Photography for an inspiration shoot for Ruffled.

And in this Pinteresting age of ours, this fabulous image went viral (we even featured it in our 20 Unique Ceremony Backdrops post!), and now, we want to tell you about the product behind the picture!

Bright, colourful, and fun, this statement backdrop is made by French Knot Studios with stock card octahedrons (get me and my geometry! It's basically two pyramids stuck together) with one facet of each, dipped in glitter for added sparkle.

The shapes are hung on clear mono filament, so they can be hung by tying or with tape.  And the lovely Audrey King, behind French Knot Studios labels each strand, making them hang in perfect randomness every time.

As well as full length strings, she can also make shorter ones for head table backdrops too.

French Knot Studios  is a Savannah, Georgia based shop, where Audrey, who has a background in costume and prop making, creates all manner of sweet and chic wedding details, from this adorable embroidered pocket square, to these unique fabric bouquets.

She even makes these fun cocktail stirrers, to match your backdrop.

She began creating wedding accessories after her own nuptials, in her search for truly unique details, and as well as everything in her store being customisable in most sizes and colours, if you've dreamed up a wedding prop, that you can't find to buy, Audrey will do her best to create it for you.

Audrey is also involved in styling some gorgeous shoots – follow her on Instagram for some utterly swoonworthy snaps.

As for the cool and quirky geo backdrop, it's priced at £27.84/$45 per linear foot, so for example, the one in the picture (which is 8 foot x 10 foot, with each strand hung 4 inches apart) would cost you £278.40/$450, plus shipping – French Knot Studios ships worldwide.

Lead time on pieces is about three weeks, from your order date to shipping. And the curtain is available in any colour or pattern you like!

Don't you think it would make such a statement piece at your wedding – and best of all you could use the strands as garland around your home afterwards!
