I frequently blare the Nina Simone Pandora Station for the design studio. While sketching and sorting through laces, this gorgeous Louis Armstrong song played that caught my attention. The title, La Vie en Rose, which is a French expression translates to “seeing life through a rosy lens”, totally struck me.
I was pregnant with my little girl at the time and for whatever reason, that saying really bred inspiration, not just with the collection, but with my outlook for life at that time. <
Rose laces, covered buttons, sweet-heart shaped necklines, and more dramatic skirt shapes, were blended with our signature sensual aesthetic. I love the outcome! It's feminine, dramatic, chic, and La Vie en Rose.
Aren't they just magnificent?
Louis Armstrong's Le Vie En Rose was my sister and bro-in-law's first dance, and wedding film song, so it has a pretty special sentiment in our family too. Such a beautiful song, and what apt inspiration?
