Happy weekend lovely readers! I hope you’re having a relaxed weekend wherever you are?

Elizabeth is back soaking up the sun in Dubai, and I’m off to the (wet, blustery) seaside in the south of England.

But before we close our laptops, we just had to share this beautiful wedding film by The Girl Tyler (you might remember her multicultural zoo film we featured a while back?). It seems Tyler has a thing for shooting multicultural weddings in unique locations!

We love this film for lots of reasons, a gorgeous couple, not one, but two beautiful wedding dresses (the second one is red and it’s amazing!) but most of all, it’s the stunningly intimate al fresco ceremony spot, perhaps one of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen!

Beautiful Wedding Film by That Girl Tyler | Bridal Musings Wedding Blog

Before you feast your peepers on this gorgeous film, we’ll let Shun tell us a bit more about her beautiful dress choices…

Coming from a very traditional Chinese family, my parents wanted me in multiple dresses for the big day. Typically a Chinese bride has three dresses – a white western style dress, a red Chinese dress also called a Qipao or Cheongsam and then finally an evening gown.

I definitely knew I would be wearing a white Western dress for the ceremony and would change into a Chinese Qipao sometime during the reception. I wasn’t too keen on having an evening gown because I did not want to spend my entire reception changing into different dresses.

That’s when I came across the Tara Keely 2210 dress. It was a delicate mini Alencon Lace dress that had a tulle overskirt with horsehair accented hem and chapel length train. The overskirt snapped on with an ivory moire ribbon at the waist hidden by dainty bow. It was perfect!

The dress allowed me to have two dresses in one. This gave me an “evening gown” even though it was my original dress! The overskirt was easy to change in and out of so that made changing back and forth through dresses way easier and since the back of the Alencon lace dress was a zip-up I didn’t have to spend time being laced in and out of the gown.

My Chinese Qipao was really hard to find since the market is so small, especially in Virginia. I came across a website called Efushop and they are based out of China and ship custom Qipaos all over the world.

I instantly fell in-love with a red backless lace Qipao that had a trumpet silhouette. It was a modern twist to the traditional straight Qipao that has long slits onthe side.  Since my Tara Keely had a ball gown silhouette I loved that my Qipao was more slim fitting.”

Isn’t that ceremony venue just beautiful. (It’s the The Mill At Fine Creek in Powhatan in Virginia, by the way!)

And how gorgeous are this pair? As for Shun’s Qipao – just stunning!

Thanks so much to The Girl Tyler, and of course Shun and Alex for sharing their beautiful wedding day with us.
