We're obsessed with the trend for bridal capes (thanks Solange!) and we're so excited that the look has made it off the catwalks and onto the stylish shoulders of real brides in the form of gorgeous, wearable cover-ups.

Super chic, and oh-so-practical too, check out our pick of beautiful bridal capelets with our resident wedding attire aficionado, Bené Eaton.

After swooning over the gorgeous dresses and following Claire's front row musings at last week's New York Bridal Market, it became clear that a few fashion trends definitely reined supreme.

My favorite trend from this year's catwalks? Two words: bridal capes. The dramatic cape-like gowns displayed in the Jenny Packham and Pronovias collections won me over and convinced me that the bridal cape is here to stay.

If you love the look of a cape but aren't quite sure about donning one on your big day, a bridal capelet is yet another fabulous alternative. A capelet can polish off any dress, and it's also the perfect cover-up for a more traditional wedding or for an evening affair.
